NPUSC Families and Staff,
This communication is intended to make families and staff aware that the NPUSC School Board of Trustees approved a minor change to the 2025-2026 school calendar at its 7/21/25 board meeting. None of the start or end dates of the school year have changed. Below is an outline of the changes that were made:
- NPUSC will not have a student “late start” on either 8/8/25 or 5/22/26- Students will arrive on-time, teaching staff will not engage in professional meetings
- NPUSC will run a student “late start” of two hours on 1/23/26 & 4/24/26-Students will arrive two hours after normal school start times, teaching staff will engage in professional meetings

The purpose of the 1/23/26 & 4/24/26 “two hour late starts” are to provide teachers additional time to review and analyze student academic data from the state of Indiana that will inform preparation or performance for state exams.
Weekly 45 minute “late start” Fridays for students will begin on Friday, August 15th.
