Empower Hour Afterschool Program

(Bulldog Club)

Known as “Bulldog Club,” this program provides remediation and enrichment for students enrolled at Rolling Prairie Elementary SchoolStudents in grades K-5 are eligible to enroll. There is no cost for this program thanks to grant funding provided by the Healthcare Foundation of La Porte. The program is held four days per week at Rolling Prairie Elementary School on days when school is in session. Program hours are as follows:

Monday – Thursday 3:10 pm – 5:00 PM CST 

Important Program Details 

  • Program hours are Monday-Thursday from 3:10-5:00 pm (cst);
  • Limited busing is provided for in-district students (*contact the school for details);
  • Program focus is on academic remediation and homework help;
  • Enrichment activities are offered on health, wellness, and fitness

Enrichment Activities Include (but are not limited to):

  • BioMedics (gr. 2 – 5) : Mrs. Sarah Huff
  • Fitness Class (gr. K-5) :
  • Nutrition Class (gr. K-5) : Mr. Mike Hale
  • Art Club (gr. K-5): Miss Zoe Spence
  • Mobile Library (gr. K-5): LaPorte County Library
  • Young Astronauts (*5th grade only): Mr. Jarret Spence

*Open to all Rolling Prairie 5th Grade Students

Bulldog Club is not in session on the following dates:

October 14 – 17 (Parent Teacher Conferences/Fall Break)

October 31 (Halloween)

November 25 – 28 (Thanksgiving Break)

December 19 – January 6 (Winter Break)

January 7 – January 10 (Extended Break)
