Families, another school year in the books! This is the time that summer busy schedules start ramping up and trying to fit in all the “bucket list” items you have plans to do. I know my kiddos have pretty well mapped out summer for me with places to go and things to experience. That said, I know it is a healthy time to breath and reflect after a week after school let out too.

So as I reflect, I recognize that this is now the conclusion of my second year at Rolling Prairie Elementary. I can honestly say that I am in awe as I truly believe I have the best job there is. I am surrounded by phenomenal educators that make me look good each and every day. In addition, Rolling Prairie exists in a community of families that are fully invested in their children’s education for the better. But the best part is the kids. Our students here at Rolling are incredible human beings who have showed me the potential they each carry inside them for great things.

Rolling Prairie is building something special as the foundation here is positioned for it. Excellence in academics and kindness in action are just two of our core beliefs that we strive for all students. The motivation is there, and maybe it is just me, but I can feel the excitement in the air around us here. What we envision and create is done in partnership between school and home, and our students are the beneficiaries. Now is the year where we take steps to establish momentum.

When the motivation is there, the chance to sustain and continue “winning” is done with momentum. That’s our next challenge and the staff here are pouring into this already in preparation for the next school year and more. However, I have no doubt that great things are in store for our school, our families and most importantly, our students at Rolling Prairie. Just watch and see – it’s getting fun :).
