As we turn the corner of summer-like weather to fall, we are approaching Parent/Teacher Conferences. This is such an important time to meet with your child’s teacher as you look at the beginning of the year data as well as observations of how your child is doing. These meetings are so valuable and we greatly encourage families to sign up via ParentSquare. Conferences are held on October 12th and 14th with 15-minute slots. That said, if you have deeper concerns or unable to meet during the times given, please reach out to your child’s teacher so that you are able to still connect. In addition to your child’s classroom teacher, specials teachers and support staff will be in the main hallway to chat. Feel free to reach out by email or ParentSquare to set up a specific time or stop by as they are available as well both nights.

Standards and grades are designed to be informative as students are showing what they know, and teachers share on report cards how your child is doing on grade level content. Behavior towards learning does have an indirect impact on how well a student is doing, and so we also assess the employability skills too. These skills have a lasting impact well beyond the time in school as these are the values important in jobs and careers that will give them an edge in being successful.
