NPUSC COVID-19 Update 10-26-2020
Dear NPUSC Families & Staff,
The following web address holds the latest COVID metric information through the Indiana State Department of Health at https://www.coronavirus.in. gov/
LaPorte and St. Joseph counties have both posted “Orange” on the Indiana color coded metric this Wednesday afternoon.
As a result, NPUSC will use the 50% Attendance hybrid for the week of October 26th. Late Starts will not occur on the 50% Attendance Hybrid.
Monday/Wednesday (10/26 & 10/28) Students A-L in the alphabet attend in-person, M-Z in alphabet Practice at Home
Tuesday/Thursday (10/27 & 10/29) Students M-Z in alphabet attend in-person, A-L in alphabet Practice at Home
Friday (10/30) is an E-Learning Day for All Students K-12
Also, be aware that the Indiana Department of Health updates the color-coded metric by county every Wednesday at 12 pm Noon EST. Generally, NPUSC will plan to finish the week on the same Attendance Plan that NPUSC started on that Monday. However, if positive cases also exist in multiple NPUSC schools it is possible NPUSC would declare E-Learning to finish the week for that Thursday-Friday, then begin the appropriate Attendance Plan the following Monday based on the state metric.
Reminder-Tomorrow, October 22nd is an E-Learning Day. Friday, October 23 is Fall Break-School is Not in Session
NPUSC had previously announced the following Attendance Plans based on the state color COVID metric for LaPorte county:
Blue/Yellow- 100% Attendance Plan
Orange- 50% Attendance Hybrid Plan
Mon/Wed A-L Attending
Tues/Thurs M-Z Attending
Friday is an E-Learning Day
Red- E-Learning for the Week K-12 Students
*Note-Multiple positive COVID cases within NPUSC could cause a more restrictive Attendance Plan than noted here if circumstances warrant a more cautious approach.
Finally, attached is a visual NPUSC will use weekly on social media/NPUSC websites to update our Attendance Plan. Please contact my office or your building principal if you have any questions, thank you.
Weekly updated COVID dashboard for NPUSC positive cases and NPUSC protocols can now be found at http://www.npusc.k12.in.us/
NPUSC will follow up Wednesday evening after the state COVID metric is updated, thank you.
